It had been a LONG day for Cordelia Chase. Between barely getting any sleep the night before, having her mind and body torn apart by the vision from HELL, and being left alone on baby duty for the day ( a job she rarely ever minds, but it would be a hell of a lot easier to do if every muscle in her body didn’t ACHE, and she could keep her eyes open for more than a minute at a time ), it doesn’t take long at all for exhaustion to sink in. Even the mere idea of trying to make it back to her own apartment is far too much right now – and besides, she knows Angel will totally freak if he came back to an empty hotel – so it’s not long before Cordelia finds herself curled up in the center of Angel’s bed, body forming a protective shield around the baby beside her.
( And really, it’s no surprise at all that she’s already out like a light mere minutes later. )

For once, Cordelia has no sharp-tongued rebuke to offer as she’s shoved behind the other girl, stumbling backward in heel-clad feet. She loathes to admit it, but even after everything with Angel and Wesley, even after Faith has gone ROGUE far too many times for her to try and count, there’s still something that feels unnervingly safe about the Slayer. Especially now that she’s shielding Cordelia from… whatever the hell that slimy, growly, AWFUL thing before them is.
But instead of acknowledging this, Cordelia Chase does what every Sunnydale expat does best: Denial. She ignores the way Faith’s arm is thrown up before her as if that alone can keep her out of harm’s way. She pretends it doesn’t matter that the girl who once had absolutely no qualms about ( literally ) knocking Cordelia out of the way to get what she wanted is now potentially risking her life for her. Instead, she simply allows her face to scrunch up in DISGUST, a hand on the smaller girl’s shoulder her only show of gratitude as she loudly proclaims, “No problem there; because, ew, what the hell is that thing?”

If she’s surprised by his statement, Cordelia doesn’t let it show. Instead, she slowly sinks down onto the steps beside Steven - Connor - a tentative hand rising to rest on his shoulder and a small, melancholic smile tugging at full lips.

Who’s more likely to find who wearing their clothes?: Doyle would find Cordy wearing his. She wouldn’t be caught dead in them out of the house, of course, but despite their general hideousness they’re also ridiculously comfortable.
Who enunciates hand holding?: Cordelia. She’s very forward in general so if she wants to hold Doyle’s hand, she’ll just do it.
Who likes having their hair washed by who?: Doyle by Cordelia - she definitely knows what she’s doing way more when it comes to that.
Who likes to slow dance?: Doyle.
Muse that’s more likely to fall asleep with their head in the others lap?: Cordelia.
Muse that does all the cuddling in a blanket fort?: Doyle, maybe? I’m not sure how cuddly they are together in general.
Who hogs most of the covers at night?: Probably Cordy.
Muse who nuzzles the others shoulder to get them to give them a head rub?: Cordy.
How do they share a desert? Two forks or one?: Two, I think. They’d probably fight over who gets which bite if it was just one.
Who gets jealous more easily?: Doyle, for sure.
Who gets angered more easily?: Cordelia. Their tempers are about equal, but she’s a lot more transparent about it.
How do they go to sleep at night?: Doyle probably sleeps pretty soundly on his back. I think Cordelia fidgets a bit more, but usually ends up curled into his side.
Who gets the most shoulder rubs?: Cordelia, probably. She doesn’t give a ton because her hands get tired easily, but Doyle doesn’t mind giving them to her at all.
What are there arguments/fights like? How often do they fight?: They fight pretty often, but it’s usually just about stupid, petty things. There tends to be a lot of yelling involved, and overall it’s kind of like watching a pair of kids fight.
Who is more likely to throw things in fights?: Cordy.
How do they make it up to each other/apologize after an argument?: Unless Cordelia’s really in the wrong, it tends to be Doyle who comes to her to apologize afterward because he hates when they’re not talking more than he cares for his pride.
Do they have nicknames for each other?: Doyle has a lot for Cordelia - especially Princess. Cordelia has names she’ll call him, but they’re usually just a one-time thing that suits what she’s saying, not a nickname per se.
Caring for each other while ill, how does the other muse go about it?: Doyle probably mother hens Cordelia to the point where she’d rather he’d just leave her alone. Cordelia keeps her distance a bit more because she doesn’t want to catch whatever Doyle has, but she still takes care of him in her own Cordy way.
Who’s more likely to be patching the others wound?: Cordelia’s more likely to be patching up Doyle’s. Even if they both fight, he’s super protective of her and will always get in harm’s way more than necessary to make sure she’s safe.
Muse that says ‘I told you so’, after they come home from the beach and other muse is burnt to a crisp while whining how bad it hurts for not listening and putting on sunblock after the other muse repeatedly told them they’d get burnt?: Cordy’d be the one saying I told you so for sure. With skin like hers, there’s no way she’d be so careless with it.
Your otp has a newborn baby, who gets up in the middle of the night when he/she cries?: Doyle, more often than not. Cordelia’s excuse is always something along the lines of ‘I took care of that kid nonstop for nine months straight, now it’s your turn to put up with their weird shit at ungodly hours.’
Your muse’s of the otp reaction to finding the others crying about something? And how do they make them feel better?: Both of their first instincts are to comfort the other (obviously), and resist the urge to find whoever made the other upset and give them a piece of his mind. They tend to spend the rest of the day curled up together on the couch, watching stupid movies and eating ice cream.
What would they be like as parents?: They’d probably take turns alternating between being the fun parents and the disciplinarian. They wouldn’t be too strict, though - just overprotective.
What would they have been like as childhood sweethearts?: Probably pretty similar to how they are as adults, actually - they’re both such children.
Who enunciates taking a bath together?: Probably Cordy.
Who likes who playing with their hair?: Cordy likes Doyle playing with her hair. He’s not particularly good at actually doing it, but even just running his hands through it feels good.
The place they mostly likely accidentally fall asleep together?: On one of Angel’s couches while researching. They’ve already done it once, it wouldn’t be surprising if it happened again.
