Really it’s the same problem with every fandom. The MOC gets left behind in favor of the white manpain dude. The thing that burns my beans the most is the fact that people think Wes was right. That he was right to just take Connor. You know, not even pick a damn phone up and call the woman who was his friend and fighting partner for YEARS. Or to speak to the man who he fought side by side, who was his right hand man (ahem) in an alternate universe. To even talk to the woman he was weirdly obsessed with. It was so strangely OOC for Wes to do that and people DEFEND IT. They rail against Angel, call him every name in the book, for cutting Wes out of his life and trying to kill him. NO. If someone stole my child from me, they would never find the body.
I also cannot fathom the love that Doyle gets AT. ALL. I liked Doyle but come on. COME ON. It’s really so transparent to me. Doyle HAD to die. There is no ifs, ands, or butts. And he died heroically. He got a hero’s death, which is more than you can say for the women on the show.

Man, I really hate Wes. That’s an unpopular thing to say, but while I found him amusing when he was first introduced, I started really hating him.
