Faelen could not make heads or tails of the woman before him, “I still do not understand what this textbook is… Would it be like parchment and scrolls?”
“Milady you would do well to be wary of how you speak to me.” He tensed at what he persevered as slight to his royal birth right. "I do not know of what you speak… creepy crawlies? What do you mean by century?”
Nodding his head, “It’s an honor Lady Chase.”
Wow. It looked like this guy really was clueless. “Yeah, something like that.” she replied, waving a hand dismissively. She really didn’t want to get into a discussion on what textbooks were with someone who thought parchment and scrolls were the latest and greatest form of literature.
“I’ll keep that in mind.” Releasing a sigh, she shook her head slightly. “Nevermind, What year is it?” Cordelia asked bluntly, without bothering to answer any of his questions.
“I’d say the same but I don’t really know you yet, so I’d just be lying, really.” she replied with an apologetic shrug. Sure, she was going to be careful not to confuse him too much from now on, but it didn’t mean she was about to start being any more tactful.
