Doyle kept his mouth shut at her muttering. He really didn’t need to be critiqued right now. He could hear the shaky breath and felt bad. But making it up to her would have to wait.

“Separate is good. I’ve seen in the past that folks could be tied together. Pain in the arse ta do it but can keep escape rates down. And I’m not telling ye just ‘ow I know that.” Doyle started to scooch so he could see Cordy. “Cordelia. I need ye ta listen. One of us needs ta ‘elp the other get out of their bonds. Now it could be done with hands trying ta figure out how to untie a knot by feeling or done with teeth to try and loosen the knot. And the hands get ta be untied first. And I would recon that since we ‘aven’t be struggling much the knot would be more annoying than hard ta get out. Now what will it be?”

“Well that’s fine, ‘cause I don’t even want to know how you know that.” Cordelia snapped in reply, but otherwise stayed quiet until Doyle finished explaining what they needed to do in order to escape.

She turned her head towards Doyle as soon as he appeared in her line of sight and shot him another, albeit much more brief glare, since he could actually see it now. “Can you untie me first? I don’t think I can do it by feel, and I’m so not using my teeth.” she stated, grimacing at the mere thought of doing so.
