“Have you talked to Buffy about that? It kind of happened to her twice. Maybe she has some insight? Into the whole not-being-dead-anymore department."
He cringes.
"No! No, no, of course you didn’t. It’s just that we were working on it … and then this happened.
And we just got sidetracked trying to stop Smile Time and get me back to being a not-puppet. Cordy, I promise, we’re doing good here. I’ve …”
He leaned in and whispered.
"I’ve got a p l a n, I promise.”
"I don’t know if Buffy should be my go-to girl for all of this. Didn’t she have crippling depression after she came back? Which, thankfully, seems to have passed over me.”
[She’s almost glad to see him cringe; it means she hasn’t lost her touch. Nevertheless, she still shoots him a withering glare– she’s ticked off that nothing has changed, and rightfully so in her opinion.]
“I better not have, because I swear Angel, if I spent my last day getting you back on track just for you to become evil again…”
[She lets the unspoken threat hang in the air for a moment, before her glower dissipates. She can’t find it in herself to stay mad at Angel for very long– she’s far too elated by the fact that she’s even able to meet him again to truly stay angry. Plus, it’s kinda hard to take a puppet seriously.
Tilting her head, her expression shifts to one of curiosity.]
