He needed to think and quick. He didn’t need to see her glare, he felt it. Doyle looked around before turning his back to Cordy. Shifting into his brachen demon form he took a quick sniff, while at the same time feel the rope tighten a little as he changed. Going back to his human form it was better. But Doyle was on alert now. The scent he had caught one of one he had been trying to escape for some time now. At least he knew they were at least in a basement, not anything worse, and that the methods of the captors weren’t too gruesome….as far as he knew.

Her question brought him back to remembering that this time was different. “I’m working on it. As fer right now, we need ta see if we’re tied together or separate. If separate then maybe we could ‘elp each other break out.”

“You better be working on it.” she muttered, though there was barely any rancor lingering in her tone. Closing her eyes and sucking in a shaky breath, Cordelia tried to focus her energy on helping Doyle figure out how they could get out of this mess instead of just panicking– though honestly, she had every damn right to panic right now if you asked her.

She was pretty certain that only her limbs were bound. Although, even just having her hands tied behind her back would make it pretty had to do, well, anything.“I think we’re separate. Just my hands and feet are tied up, and I don’t see how those could be connected to you.”
