It was such a bad idea, going into that cave. Her instincts must have been failing her, because despite being inexplicably drawn to the cavern, all Cordelia had managed to accomplish was making herself feel sick. She must have gone deep enough underground that there was less oxygen, because she was staring to feel lightheaded, and only once she returned to the surface did the sinking feeling in her stomach go away.
That was, until she saw the campgrounds.
The spot where she and her friends had set camp was completely empty. There wasn’t even any trace of their campfire! This couldn’t be possible; they had been here just minutes ago!
Despite all her attempts, no matter how much Cordelia searched and searched, she couldn’t find a sign of anyone else in the woods. Feeling hopelessly lost– not to mention utterly defeated– Cordelia sunk down to the ground. She curled up in a ball, trying her best to keep her tears at bay as she slowly gave in to unconsciousness.
