Fae snickered at the use of like-like before nodding, “Ah well it’s a wee bit complicated.”
Sighing, “I was in a bad place and she wanted to try and help but I wasn’t were I could accept that help or maybe I was because I didn’t hurt her the way I hurt someone else but… I was in a really bad place then… I hurt quite a lot of people back then and I’m trying to make it up to them.”
“Oh…” Cordelia murmured thoughtfully. She wasn’t really sure how to stomach the idea that Fae, who’d been nothing but nice to her, had hurt people badly in the past. Resting her chin on Fae’s shoulder, she said, “Well, at least you feel bad about it, right? You can’t take back bad things, but you can try to make up for them. And you are.”
